Welcome to C.J. Blair's CPEP Site

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web‐based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year‐long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. Technical Reports

The technical information of the International Museum is analyzed in depth in three reports. The first report evaluates ASHRAE Standards to determine the success of the original design. The second report analyzes the building and developed an energy model. The third report assesses the mechanical system with assessment of LEED criteria.

Abstract

Poster of basic information about the International Museum, this includes a summary of the building statistics and general information about systems and other information of note. That information includes Mechanical, Structural, Fire Protection, Lighting, Electrical, Architectural Features, and Construction.

Proposals

Setting out what is to accomplished in the final report, the proposals contain schedule information and what is be conducted with the mechanical depths and structural and thermal envelope breadth studies. It features an initial proposal for the study and final proposal that was finalized after consultations and adviser feedback.

Final Report

The compilation of all information in the building as the result of the previously completed technical reports. The documents contains in-depth studies into alternatives to the existing mechanical system and their viability as alternatives and improvements to the existing system. In addition, there are breadth topics of structures and thermal envelope which assessed the viability of changes outside of the mechanical.

Presentation

The presentation is the summarized results from the final report to be viewed by peers and faculty. 20 minutes in total are reserved for each presentation with 14 minutes set to for speaking and the other 6 meant for questions. The presentation file is in PDF format and Powerpoint format for viewing.
